Crime and punishment
Should there allways be punishment for a crime? Does it depend on how big or little the crime is?
If you stole food because you were homeless does that mean you should go to jail? there are definetly crimes that arn't needed and some that people live off. I think that if some one steals somthing to survive they shouldn't be punished, much atleast. But if the crime wasn't needed like killing someone the person should be punished shouldn't they?

An issue with judging whether a crime is "needed" is also an interesting one though. Should the person get off stealing food to survive just because they blew their last money on smokes / alcohol / gambling?
Yes they might not survive without the food but the original situation was within their control...
